Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to The Complete Novel Roadmap! These terms and conditions outline the agreement between you (the "Client") and XPLovecat, LLC (the "Coach"), for participation in this 1-on-1 coaching program. By enrolling, you agree to abide by these terms to ensure a smooth and collaborative experience.

2. Scope of Services

The Complete Novel Roadmap includes the following:

• Personalized coaching to create a completed story blueprint and draft-ready outline.

• A tailored writing schedule based on the Client’s unique goals and responsibilities.

• Unlimited email support during the program.

• Three one-on-one coaching calls at key stages of the process.

• Feedback on the Client’s blueprint and outline, including in-line comments and one comprehensive editorial letter for the first blueprint pass.

• Access to proprietary templates and resources to support the Client’s progress.

3. Client Responsibilities

The success of this program depends on the Client’s active participation. By enrolling, the Client agrees to:

• Complete the provided blueprint and outline templates with guidance from the Coach.

• Implement suggested changes they feel are appropriate.

• Attend scheduled calls or provide at least 48 hours’ notice for rescheduling. Missed calls without prior notice will result in forfeiting that session, though one opportunity to reschedule will be granted.

• Arrive on time for scheduled calls. If the Client is more than 10 minutes late, the call time will not be extended. If the Coach is late, the time will be extended accordingly.

• Provide accurate and timely responses to questions regarding writing rate, responsibilities, and availability to enable the creation of a tailored writing schedule.

4. Payment Terms

• The program fee is $1,000, payable as a one-time payment or in two monthly payments of $500.

• For the one-time payment option, the full $1,000 is due before work begins.

• For the payment plan option, the first $500 payment is due before work begins, and the second $500 payment is due 4 weeks after the start date.

• All payments are non-refundable, even if the Client decides to terminate the program early.

5. Delivery of Services

• The program duration is approximately 8 weeks, though flexibility is allowed based on the Client’s schedule and availability.

• Deliverables such as the completed blueprint, outline, and writing schedule depend on the Client’s participation and completion of assigned tasks. These are only guaranteed if the Client fulfills their responsibilities.

6. Feedback and Revisions

• The Coach provides one round of feedback on the full blueprint, which will include in-line comments and an editorial letter.

• The Coach will provide one round of feedback on the expanded outline with in-line comments only.

• After the program ends in accordance with the Happiness Guarantee, if the Client is not satisfied with the work provided, the Client is entitled to one additional round of feedback on the blueprint or outline, provided it is requested within 30 days of the final call.

• If the Client remains dissatisfied after the additional feedback, one more coaching call will be offered to address their concerns.

7. Intellectual Property

• All templates, tools, and resources provided by the Coach are proprietary intellectual property and are for the Client’s personal use only. These materials may not be shared, distributed, or used for teaching purposes.

• The Client retains full ownership of their story ideas, blueprint, outline, and manuscript.

• The Coach agrees to keep all shared story ideas, drafts, and materials confidential. Permission will be requested before using any part of the Client’s work as a sample or testimonial.

8. Confidentiality

The Coach agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all materials and ideas shared by the Client. This includes story ideas, drafts, and personal information.

9. Limitations of Liability

• The Coach does not guarantee that the Client’s draft will be written, that the content of the book won’t change during the writing process, that the book will be published, or that it will achieve financial success.

• The Client is ultimately responsible for completing their book. The Coach’s role is to provide guidance and support.

• The Coach is not liable for delays caused by unforeseen issues such as technical problems or the Client’s lack of responsiveness.

10. Termination of Agreement

• Either party may terminate the agreement if the other party fails to meet their responsibilities.

• If the Client becomes unresponsive for 30 days or fails to complete assigned tasks, the agreement will be terminated, and the Happiness Guarantee will no longer apply.

• All payments made are non-refundable, even in the event of termination.

11. Dispute Resolution

• Both parties agree to attempt informal resolution of any disputes via email or phone before pursuing legal action.

• If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through mediation or arbitration.

• This agreement is governed by the laws of the state of Ohio.

12. Amendments and Entire Agreement

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Client and the Coach. Any amendments must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.
